Urban Canyons, Laurence King Publishing and Ollystudio launch the GUERILLA ART book/DVD publication at The Pure Evil Gallery London.

Manchester based production and distribution outfit URBAN CANYONS has secured a book/DVD publishing deal for its GUERILLA ART 1x58min television documentary with Laurence King Publishing, one of the world’s leading art book publishers.

At MIPDOC 2008, the GUERILLA ART television documentary, narrated by White Cube curator and SKY ARTS presenter Tim Marlow, has been picked up by NRK (Norway), Globosat (Brazil), Canal+ (Poland) and KLM airlines.

Manchester based URBAN CANYONS LTD is the UK fastest growing provider of arts and youth culture content, showing at MIPTV in its second year at the UK INDIES stand LR4.15.

Since its launch in 2006, Urban Canyons has detected strong demand for its URBANATION broadcast archive of over 550x2min shorts. Completed sales include DVD publisher Time Out, VoD channels Babelgum, Yahoo! and Toyota. Al Gore’s Current TV was originally launched in the US with 150x URBANATION shorts.

Following the success of the SPTV produced URBANATION travel series, founder and managing director Sebastian Peiter has set up URBAN CANYONS LTD, a fully integrated London based production and distribution company specialising in travel, lifestyle and youth culture documentaries.

The first series of URBANATION (18 x 25’) has already sold to over 15 broadcasters including Travel Channel, Canal+, Discovery Asia, Channel 4 Nelonen (Finland) and Brazil’s Globosat as well as to Adidas concept stores.
